Wat de Reüniecommissie doet
De belangrijkste taak van de Reüniecommissie is, u raadt het al, het organiseren van de NSMO-reunie die eens in de drie jaar plaatsvindt. We zullen u de details besparen van het werk dat moet worden gedaan om een sprankelend evenement te organiseren.

What the Reunion Committee does
The primary objective of the Reunion Committee, as you may have guessed, is organising the NSMO-reunion that takes place every three years. We will spare you the details of what needs to be done to create an entertaining and sparkling event.

Om, eens in de drie jaar, de reünisten te kunnen uitnodigen is een actueel adresbestand nodig. Om de onderlinge kontakten levend te houden wordt een nieuwsbrief uitgebracht wanneer er nieuws te melden is.

Als, na het verzenden van een nieuwsbrief, alle adreswijzigingen zijn binnengekomen en verwerkt wordt een nieuw adresboekje samengesteld dat door de reünisten kan worden besteld.

In order to be able to invite the reunionists, once every three years, it is vital to have an up to date address list. To keep the mutual contacts going, a newsletter is published whenever any news can be reported.

When, after a newsletter has been distributed, all changes of address have arrived and have been processed a new address book is compiled. This can then be ordered by the reunionists.

 
 
Productentanker: Charon (vanaf 1976)

Bij bijzondere gelegenheden worden acties op touw gezet. Zo heeft de Reüniecommissie de reünisten op de hoogte gebracht van het verschijnen van het boek 'De Nederlandse Blauwpijpers' van G.J. de Boer. Het boek kon vervolgens ook via de commissie worden besteld.

On specific occasions special actions may be undertaken. In this way the Reunion Committee has informed the reunionists about the publication of the book about the company by G.J. de Boer. Reunionists were subsequently given the opportunity to order the book through the Committee.

Inmiddels is de Reüniecommissie NSMO ook de 'bewaarder' van de laatste natievlag en maatschappijvlag die werden gevoerd op een Nederlandse Blauwpijper. Deze vlaggen werden op 4 oktober 1978 om 12:00 uur, in Liverpool, door Kapitein A.A. Duif en HWTK J. Blaasse gestreken van de allerlaatste Nederlandse Blauwpijper Patroclus.

The Reunion Committee has meanwhile become the guardian of the last Dutch ensign and the last company flag that were flown on a Dutch Blue Funnel. These flags were lowered from Patroclus, the last Dutch Blue Funnel ship ever, in Liverpool at noon on October 4th 1978 by Captain A.A. Duif and Chief Engineer J. Blaase.
